I am a born and raised New Yorker that uses photography, film and set design to express the bitter sweetness of the self and its relationship to the environment it inhabits at any given moment. I have been taking self portraits since I was a teenager as a way to examine and document my story and time. I currently hold a BFA in Film from SUNY Purchase which led me to currently pursue my MFA in set design from NYU.
I think one could describe my work as playful, bittersweet, geometric, contained and minimal. I love solving problems and deconstructing things to their simplest which has led me to be guided by the philosophy “less is more”. Curiosity and play are at the forefront of my process and with any given project, I try to create a playground that fosters experimentation and learning.
